Ukraine and Russia have settled on a deal following talks with top US diplomats in Saudi Arabia.

Ukraine's defence minister Rustem Umerov said that Kyiv has agreed to "ensure safe navigation, eliminate the use of force, and prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes in the Black Sea".

The US has confirmed that it has made agreements with both Ukraine and Russia to ensure safe navigation across the Black Sea and "to implement a ban strikes against energy facilities in the two countries".

The White House has added that America would "help restore Russia's access to the world market for agricultural and fertiliser exports".
