British former boxer George Groves has criticised Mike Tyson after the 58-year-old's recent defeat to Jake Paul, insisting the heavyweight looked as though he'd come 'straight from the nursing home'.

The boxing legend lost via unanimous decision at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, with many fans left feeling underwhelmed.

There had been hopes that Tyson would be able to summon the magic of old and consign his young rival to defeat.

Yet that didn't happen, with Paul instead cruising to victory to secure the 11th triumph of his professional career.

Groves, speaking to Betway, has now become the latest figure associated with the sport to provide his verdict.

And the 36-year-old has joked that Tyson looked as though he'd come from the 'nursing home', especially given how he accidentally flashed his bare bottom on the screen prior to the clash.

"Tyson’s bare a**e was one of the more memorable moment from the fight," he said.

"He couldn't have looked more of an old man, he looked like they'd got him out the nursing home, and he forgot to put his pants on that day."

Many former boxers, including Tony Bellew and Carl Froch, have offered to go up against Paul in the short time since the fight.

Bellew even gatecrashed the pre-fight press conference, with the 41-year-old consequently escorted off the premises.

As for Froch, the former boxing star has called out Paul multiple times - with the pair also exchanging words on social media.

Groves thinks Froch should fight Paul for charity and put his money where his mouth is.

He continued: "Everyone's crying out for a fight, aren’t they?

"Tony Bellew was out there, and he wasn’t just there for the gag. He was there and he wanted to throw his name in the hat.

"He’s obviously got a big profile from being in the Rocky movies and being in the jungle, so maybe he thinks he’s in there with a chance.

"My old mate Froch, he's got a reaction out of Paul.

"Then he retracts it and says ‘it will be for charity’. Let's do that then Carl, let's put that money out there for charity.

"Or just offer to spar him behind closed doors for no money, for your YouTube channel, I think that'll do great numbers.

"Same for Bellew, same for the rest of them. But I don't think it will be as easy as Froch thinks.

"Jake is quite a big geezer, Froch will be giving away a lot of size and weight.

"He probably won't be able to run through him like he thinks."
