Mike Tyson has been blasted by boxing fans after punching and shoving Jake Paul at their press conference on Sunday night.

The two men both faced the media for the first time since their showdown was rescheduled, having originally been due to fight on July 20.

They will now go up against each other on November 15 instead, with millions from all over the world expected to tune in.

During Sunday's press conference, Tyson punched and shoved Paul as they exchanged barbs, putting on a show for those in attendance in the process.

But many fans aren't impressed, with some feeling Tyson and Paul are faking their tense relationship to ramp up hype and excitement.

"Mike taking the fall for a cheque and it will be a sad day for boxing," said one user.

"This is so corny bro. We all know it’s fake," opined a second.

A third said: "Most scripted s**t oat [of all time]."

Another stated: "I don't see the hype. It just seems like a desperate attempt for attention from both Tyson and Paul."

A fifth opined: "So funny how people can't see they are just doing it all for money."

A sixth stated: "Looks scripted to me."

And a seventh weighed in by saying: "All just a show."

Tyson suffered an ulcer flare up earlier in the year that forced his showdown with Paul to be pushed back.

"I'm very prepared [to knock out Jake Paul]," he said. "I'm very prepared.

"I had a small adversity. I got sick, but I feel good. I'm just ready. I'm just ready.

"I'm going to do my talk and I'm going to talk my s**t, but I'm ready to fight."

As for Paul, the 27-year-old sensationally compared himself to Muhammad Ali - insisting he's the 'anti-hero'.

"At the end of the day, people are always going to have something to say," he said when asked about the criticism he's received.

"It's because of who I am. I proved everyone wrong. Reminder: the most hated and most criticised boxer in the sport of boxing before they loved them was Muhammad Ali.

"So I'm the anti-hero, and people will love me soon enough once they realise what I've done for this sport and who I truly am.

"But it doesn't bother me at the end of the day, because when you're at the top, people are clawing to rip you down.

"And that's just the way the game goes."
