The Southport flower show kicks off today, with a special touch as a memorial "to show respect" for the victims of the stabbings.

Three young girls were killed in the Southport stabbings, and the funeral of Bebe King takes place this weekend.

Speaking to GB News, designer of a show garden Greg said: "We've got the pink ribbons up, which symbolizes the atrocity, and we've got three pink dahlias and a nice little note there that tells people to sort of reflect.

"And we just thought we'd mention it and show a little bit of respect."
