So Macho singer Sinitta, 60, has seemingly confirmed that Simon Cowell, 64, has secretly married his partner Lauren Silverman, 47, three years on from their Barbados engagement.
Silverman and Cowell were first introduced to one another back in 2006, whilst she was married to one of Cowell's good friends Andrew Silverman before they embarked on a relationship in 2013.
After one year of dating, the couple welcomed their son, Eric, in 2014 before the 64-year-old got down on one knee and proposed to Silverman during their holiday in Barbados.
He popped the question in front of Eric, and his stepson Adam - from Silverman's first marriage - on Christmas Eve, with a source telling The Sun at the time: "Simon and Lauren are ridiculously, nauseatingly in love - incredibly, lockdown brought them closer than ever.
"Lauren was absolutely stunned and never in a million years expected Simon to pop the question. She burst into tears - happy tears - and obviously said 'yes' straight away.
"It was important to Simon that the kids were there too, as he adores them both and the family they’ve become."
Now, Sinitta has claimed that the pair have married in secret and told Woman's Magazine: "Oh, are they not married yet? I’m not saying anything, but I’m sure they are married. I call her Mrs Cowell anyway, so they may as well be."
Sinitta and Cowell dated for two years from 1982 to 1984, with the pair enjoying a 20-year on-and-off relationship and remaining close friends.
Cowell recently opened up about how Silverman and his son "saved" him after the loss of both his parents pushed him to "the point where nothing mattered".
Speaking with Steven Bartlett on his Diary of a CEO podcast, he broke down and revealed: "Before him [Eric], I had reached the point where nothing mattered.
"It all hit me so hard. Being on TV I felt like a clown because I was dying inside. I put on loads of weight. If I was going to be hit by a bus the next day - I wasn't worried about anything like that.
"The whole time was dark. It was the lowest level. I can relate when people say that being alive doesn't matter anymore. I thought, 'What have I got to live for?'
"I didn't want to take my own life but I thought, 'If something terrible happens to me it wouldn't bother me'. I do still suffer from depression sometimes."
He added how falling into depression made him become a workaholic, noting that material things meant nothing to him before Silverman fell pregnant and left everything to change for their family.

Opening up on how Silverman revealed she was pregnant, Cowell explained: "I got the call from Lauren. Any call which starts with, 'Are you sitting down?' You know what's coming next.
"She was like, 'Are you sitting down?' I was like, 'Yes'. And she told me. And it did absolutely change everything in my life. It made me happy again, for me it was perfect."
