An officer from Greater Manchester Police has been 'removed from operational duties' after a video emerged of him stamping and kicking an 'Asian' man at Manchester Airport.
Protests are expected to take place outside Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham 's office at 6pm this evening, as they call on him to act on the alleged 'police brutality'.
It comes as hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside a Rochdale police station overnight where the 'Asian' man and three other males were detained, as they chanted 'GMP shame on you'.
Video footage of the men being arrested went viral after one of the men being detained was kicked in the face and stamped on the head by a police officer, while others were wrestled to the ground and tasered.
However the policeman who was filmed kicking on the 'Asian' man's head was said to be 'responding to officers being attacker' including a woman PC who had her nose broken.
Do you think the force was right to suspend the officer?
