Princess Charlotte “shared a whisper” with auntie Pippa Middleton during their Wimbledon appearance, royal commentator Angela Levin has told GBN America.

The pair were joined at the All England Lawn and Tennis Club by Princess Kate in what was just her second public engagement since she announced her cancer diagnosis.

Levin says she was taken aback by the public displays of affection shared between not just mother and daughter, but also auntie and niece.

“The way that Charlotte looked up at her mother, so proud and adoring”, she said.

“And then she would share a quiet whisper with her auntie Pippa, her mother’s sister.

“I think that we should be delighted we have people who behave like humans, who love their children and as well as understanding the responsibility to the country and Commonwealth, they also understand the importance of having a good family life.

“All the crowd in Wimbledon stood up and cheered for Kate and she couldn’t believe it. We are hoping she gets better soon.”

Kate spoke to ball boys and girls as she entered Centre Court to loud applause on Sunday afternoon.

She presented the winners’ trophy to Carlos Alcaraz for the second year running after commiserating and shaking the hand of runner-up Novak Djokovic.

Kate and Charlotte were greeted by British players Emma Raducanu, Sonay Kartal, Lily Miyazaki, Lucy Shuker and Flora Johnson as they arrived on the players’ lawn at Wimbledon before entering Centre Court.

Discussing her meeting with Kate, Raducanu said: “It was very nice to see Her Royal Highness again. I’ve met her twice before, and it was really nice to meet Charlotte as well, because I hadn’t before.

“It’s amazing to see her be such a champion of tennis and following all of us.

“We just spoke a little bit about my tournament, and the tennis, and also how I missed last year but I was very excited to come back this year. And a little bit about her tennis because she loves it.”

Asked about Kate’s appearance at the tournament following her diagnosis, Raducanu said: “I think it just shows her resilience and how much of a role model she is and it’s amazing to see her here looking so healthy and happy.”

Wimbledon wildcard entry Miyazaki said it was “really special” to meet the royals.

Asked about meeting Kate, Miyazaki said: “She’s had a really tough time and it was great to see her looking healthy.

“It’s special to have that support from the royal family and it’s really cool to know that they are tennis fans.”
