A transgender killer who murdered his parents has been transferred back to a male prison after being caught having sex with a female inmate.

In March, a corrections officer found Bryan Kim - who is now referred to as Amber FayeFox Kim - having sexual intercourse with Sincer-A Marie Nerton at the Washington Corrections Center for Women (WCCW) on March 14.

Following the incident, Kim has been moved back to the Monroe Correctional Facility for men.

"The reason for Kim's transfer was due to ongoing safety concerns," a Department of Corrections official told the National Review.

In March, Kim was found "laying on the floor completely nude from the waist down with their cellmate Nerton on top of them also nude from the waist down actively having sex," according to a report.

The report added: "This is against MSU rules and policy. WAC-504-Engaging in a sex act with another person within the facility that is not otherwise included in these rules, except in an approved extended family visit."

In 2008, Kim was convicted of two counts of aggravated first-degree murder for stabbing his father, Richard Kim, and bludgeoning and strangling his mum, Terri Kim.

The murders took place at the family's Mount Spokane home on December 5, 2006.

Kim attempted to clean up the scene and concealed their bodies.

He was sentenced to life in prison and was housed at a men's facility in Washington, but was later transferred to Purdy in February 2021 amid the state Department of Correction's gender-inclusion policy.

The policy means male convicts can be admitted to Purdy after an administrative panel accepts a gender-dysphoria diagnosis.

Reports of instances of sexual exploitation by male inmates identifying as women towards female prisoners began to surface in December 2021.

One particular inmate, known as Jonathan or "Jazzy," faced multiple complaints of sexual assault filed by female inmates.

Kim's story was featured in the Huffington Post under the title "Inside The Brutal Struggle For Trans Care In Prison".

The article suggested that Kim's actions were linked to mistreatment he suffered during his upbringing.
