Calls for British police to reopen Spanish lines of inquiry into the disappearance of Jay Slater have ramped up in recent days after the search was called off on Sunday.

The 19-year-old British teenager left a music festival in Playa de las Americas with two British men before his disappearance.

The Guardia Civil called the search off on Sunday and insisted the two men last seen with Slater “don’t have any relevance” to the case.
