GB News hosts Emily Carver and Tom Harwood descended into a bitter row live on-air over the UK's growing illegal migration figures, as it has been revealed that figures have surpassed 50,000 under Rishi Sunak's leadership.
Speaking on Good Afternoon Britain, Emily claimed: "I just don't understand, considering these numbers, why this isn't being treated as as a national emergency. Surely 50,000 people since Rishi Sunak became Prime Minister? Did any sovereign nation allow that?"
Tom hit back, arguing: "Compared to the hundreds of thousands coming into Italy? And literally millions who have crossed from Mexico into the United States across the southern border? The United Kingdom, comparatively, has less illegal migration than almost any other developed country."
Emily swiped: "So we should be grateful? We should be grateful that out government can't secure our borders? But it could be worse, we could be like Italy. We could be like the United States."
