Tesco has launched an investigation after a woman alleged she was "left humiliated" when a security guard "screamed in her face" before she suffered an epileptic fit.

An anonymous woman took to social media to share her ordeal during a recent shopping trip to the supermarket with her dad.

The woman explained that while walking around the supermarket, she began to get "warning signs" of a seizure so paid for a drink and sat in the Costa in store with her trolley full of shopping.

She wrote: "I never attempted to leave the store. I had texted my dad to tell him to meet me at the cafe so he could go through the checkout and I could go to the car to lie down.

"However, as soon as I sat down the security lady followed me, and shouted at me to get in the back, I calmly explained my situation and said I wouldn’t be going in the back with anyone.

"Her manager arrived and she kept trying to talk over me, I showed the manager my text to my dad and said I was leaving but I think the security lady was angry it didn’t go her way and was shouting."

She then claims that the security guard was going to get her name from the Clubcard she used.
