A veteran fisherman was left stunned after spotting a huge 10ft shark swimming into a British harbour.

Jimmy Price began filming after a dorsal fin appeared above the water in Anglesey, Wales.

The 59-year-old was out fishing around the bay of the Holyhead Breakwater lighthouse for a fishing competition that day.

During the video, Price can be heard saying, "big fish that" as he recognises the Basking Shark.

Eventually the creature left the port and swam back out into the open ocean.

"I was walking along the breakwater around 8am when I saw something out of the corner of my eye," Price told North Wales Live.

"I'd not seen a basking shark before but I've caught other sharks so I knew what it was.

"I was pretty shocked - I didn't expect to see a shark cruising around the harbour at that time of the day!"
