A house has been "ripped apart" in a suspected gas explosion in Middlesbrough as emergency services rush to the scene.

It is understood that a property on Kirkland Walk near Frampton Green exploded on Tuesday.

Residents said the blast was "absolute carnage" and as though "a plane was crashing".
