Michelle Dewberry has fumed at the labelling of demonstrators as “far-right” after a march through London.

Thousands of Tommy Robinson supporters were seen carrying the flag of St George and letting off smoke canisters.

Robinson organised the protest to demand the resignation of Met Police chief Sir Mark Rowley for overseeing what he called London’s “two-tier policing” system.

Those in attendance have been labelled “far-right” in several media reports, something Michelle argued on GB News is not fair.

“If you’re sick to the back teeth of your children having agendas forced down them, if you’re someone who does not consent to this uncontrolled immigration and the way it is changing local communities, that indeed is not far right”, she said.

“If you’re someone who does not buy into the climate being about to spontaneously combust by the end of this program, that is not far right.

“Nobody is standing up for those people, when people do stand up, they get called far-right.

“It’s pathetic.”

The protests, which took place on Saturday, were noted for chaotic scenes with smoke flares and air horns being used.

A video from the event appears to show one of those in attendance was spotted being arrested by police.

The Met Police said they had identified people in the crowd who had been linked to ‘football violence’ and anti-lockdown demonstrations.

A counter-protest saw demonstrators holding placards reading “oppose Tommy Robinson” and “stop fascists and the far-right”.

Stand Up To Racism summoned supporters to Whitehall in a bid to front up to the thousands-strong march.

The group said in a statement that is members would “stand together against attempts to divide us”.

Barricades were set up to separate the two groups amid fears of violence.

Robinson was seen leading the procession carrying a banner with a clear message to Mayor of London Sadiq Khan: “This is London, not Londonistan”.
