Richard Hammond's latest announcement has left fans very excited just weeks after the penultimate Grand Tour instalment was released.

The former Top Gear star, 54, filmed five series of the Amazon Prime car show alongside long-term co-stars Jeremy Clarkson and James May, but this year's episodes are the last in the show with the finale set to air later this year.

However, the presenter has announced the continuation of another project which has left fans delighted - his podcast, Who We Are Now.

Earlier this year, the car enthusiast announced he and daughter Izzy, 23, would be launching a podcast together.

The episodes saw the father and daughter duo discuss all kinds of topics, with a focus on men's mental health.

They have proved a hit with listeners and a second series is now in the works, with fans already stating they "can't wait" to listen to more.

Taking to the official Instagram for the podcast, the father and daughter posted a sweet snap of them both, captioning it: "That’s Season 1 complete!!

"Just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has taken the time to give our little podcast a listen, it means so so much!

"We have loved every moment and cannot wait to continue with Season 2," they confirmed.

"Let us know your favourite guest, episode, topic, moment of this season! We’ll see you soon."

A second wrote: "Thank you for such a great first season - keep thinking about the burnout episode a lot. Richard and Izzy are such a great duo."

"My suggestion; just James May. Every episode. Thanks in advance!" someone else requested.
