A "large scale incident" has been declared in Cannock after a huge fire broke out - triggering an urgent evacuation order by the fire service.
Local businesses have been asked to evacuate while 10 fire engines tackle the blaze near the A460 Orbital Island.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) is urging locals to close their windows and doors due to plumes of smoke.
Heavy smoke can be seen billowing over roads surrounding the M6 Toll and A5.
A Staffordshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "We have a very large scale incident close to the orbital islands in Cannock.
"We have 10 fire engines in attendance supported by specialist equipment and officers. Some roads closures are in place.
"Fire Fighters are asking all residents to close windows and doors due to smoke and all local businesses to evacuate."
Delays along roads in the Cannock area have been reported, but West Midlands Railway said the blaze had not affected train services.
Commuters have reported seeing smoke for miles on this morning on social media.
One user wrote: "Mega fire looming over the M6 toll in Cannock."
A second added: "Huge fire (?) Norton Canes, Birmingham just off M6 toll road. No idea what it is. But the smoke stack is blocking out the sun for miles around."
