Anti-Ulez activists have slashed more cameras within hours of Sadiq Khan's re-election as London mayor.

In the aftermath of Khan's win, poles were cut in half and cameras were spray painted during a "purge" against the Labour politician.

Cameras were knocked over in areas across London, including Ickenham and Northwood in Hillingdon and Feltham and Hounslow in west London.

One protester said the damage was carried out because people are "p***ed off about the tyranny reigning over us".

Ulez wires and boxes were destroyed just hours after it was announced that Khan had secured a third term.

It has been reported that at least seven Ulez cameras were attacked.

Blade Runner Matt Hardy said in a TikTok video: "Have some of that, it's people pissed off about the tyranny reigning over us and getting out and doing things about it – real votes, real boys here."

In another video he is seen stepping in dog poo and smearing it all over a toppled camera.

He is then heard saying: "S**t happens, folks. What a f***ing nuisance. Look at this folks. Down on the decks."

Between April and September last year, the Met recorded 795 crimes relating to Ulez cameras.

The row over the £12.50-a-day sparked anger last August when the scheme was expanded across all London boroughs.

A TfL spokesperson said: "Vandalism is unacceptable and all incidents on our network are reported to the police for investigation. Criminal damage to Ulez cameras puts the perpetrators at risk of prosecution and injury, while simultaneously risking the safety of the public.

"Camera vandalism will not stop the Ulez operating London-wide. All vandalised cameras are repaired or replaced as soon as possible.

"We have an extensive camera network which is sufficient to support the effective operation of the scheme.

"Anyone driving a non-compliant vehicle within the expanded zone will be detected and we advise everyone to check whether their vehicle is compliant and to consider the various support that is available to help transition to greener modes of transport."
