Organisations across the UK have ramped up inclusivity and diversity training in recent years in a bid to become a more accommodating workplace - but today, we're asking GB News Members: Has workplace diversity and inclusivity (D&I) training gone too far?

Last month a Government-commissioned report was published which criticised diversity training as having " not only been proven to be ineffective, they have also been counterproductive".

"Performative gestures such as compulsory pronouns and rainbow lanyards are often a sign that organisations are struggling to demonstrate how they are being inclusive," it added.

Separately, research by the Free Speech Union found that almost two thirds of workers who undergo diversity training at work have concealed what they really thought for fear of losing their job.

Meanwhile, privately owned companies and public sector organisation have found themselves under scrutiny for the measures they have introduced surrounding improving D&I.

GB News exclusively revealed earlier this month in a Members only investigation that Home Office staff are told to devote time to think about three diversity initiatives every day.

The findings prompted a backlash with fears too many civil servants were being made to focus on objectives that did not directly relate to pubic priorities.
