Joe Biden's staff privately refer to Donald Trump as "Hitler Pig" as the allegations are branded "ridiculous and gross".

The nickname was reportedly created after the former US president hosted a dinner party with white supremacist Nick Fuentes and anti-Semitic rapper Kanye West in 2022.

The comments resurfaced this week after reports circulated that Trump fell asleep in court during his hush money trial.

According to four people "in Biden’s orbit", the name is a way for workers to share their disgust over Trump’s "apparent willingness" to engage with white supremacists.

Biden's aides are said to have used the term "Hitler Pig sleepy" on a message thread, according to Politico.

Sources suggest the nickname is generally used by younger individuals - not senior staff members.

The President's staff are believed to have shared clips of Trump with comments: "Hey, did you see what Hitler Pig said?"

Pictures of the "Hitler Pig" character began appearing online before being used by "people in the president’s orbit".

The remarks have been slammed by Republicans, with some describing them as "gross".

"Joe Biden talks a lot about decency, but he and his staff don’t have a decent bone in their bodies," Brian Hughes, a senior Trump campaign adviser, told Politico.

"These ridiculous and gross comments reflect the failure and dishonesty of the entire Biden operation."

The Trump party allege that reports he fell asleep in court are "100 per cent fake news".

Some critics have slammed Trump for his own nicknames he has previously used to ridicule political opponents.

He referred to Biden as "Sleepy Joe", while previous names included "Little Marco" Rubio, “Crazy Nancy” Pelosi and “Lying Ted” Cruz.

In 2018, Democrat Elizabeth Warren accused Trump of making "a racist political joke" out of her claims of Native American ancestry by referring to her as "Pocahontas".
