Tiger Woods has already indicated an announcement is imminent regarding whether he will captain Team USA at next year's Ryder Cup.
Team Europe's captaincy line-up has already been confirmed with Thomas Bjorn joining forces with Luke Donald again after their success together in Rome.
Team USA is yet to choose its captain with Woods being strongly linked to take on the role.
It has long been assumed the 48-year-old would be handed the captaincy for the Ryder Cup in 2027 due to his close friendship with Adare Manor resort owner, JP McManus.
But there has been a growing suggestion that Woods may also make his captaincy debut on home soil at Bethpage Black next year.
He won the 2002 US Open at the famous New York golf course where he was the only player to shoot under-par that week.
Woods had previously brushed off questions about the Ryder Cup captaincy until last week when he appeared in front of the press at the Masters.
“We’re still talking about it,” Woods said.
“It’s something that Seth [Waugh, the PGA of America’s chief executive] and I are going to sit back and talk about after this event.
"I said I’m going to be busy for a couple weeks, so let me focus on getting through this week and hopefully getting another jacket, and then we can sit back and talk about it next week.”
Those talks are now set to take place this week with just under 18 months until the 2025 Ryder Cup.
Captains for both sides are usually announced by this stage of the season with Zach Johnson named as Team USA skipper in February 2022 for the Roma tournament.
Donald's confirmation as Team Europe captain for the 2023 tournament came a bit later after Henrik Stenson was stripped of the role due to his move to LIV Golf.
Team USA will be hoping to clinch the Ryder Cup trophy back after a dismal display at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club.
Europe held a 4-0 lead after the first session for the first time in Ryder Cup history with USA needing a miracle to turn things around.
